How to Take Stunning Prom Pictures
Prom is a celebration that everyone wants to remember and one of the best ways is to capture those moments on camera! Here are some tips of how to be camera ready when the big day arrives.
1. Girls, make sure to wear some makeup. We suggest at least some foundation, lipstick, and blush.
2. Before prom night, put your dress and desired makeup on. Have a friend or your parents take some practice shots (using flash) and see how they turn out. This is a great way to know ahead of time if you need to wear more color or have too much. No one wants to look washed out or painted.
3. If your budget allows, we suggest you book a photographer to come take some pictures at the house with your date and/or group. The photographer will know the right angles and lighting to use. This will also allow your parents to be less stressed and enjoy the evening as well. Take as many shots as you can because they will be taken with an expensive camera that will be of best quality.
4. Make sure to take disposable cameras with you and encourage your friends to do the same. This way if you miss a picture, one of your friends may have it caught on theirs.
5. Do take formal pictures, but don't forget to take relaxed ones.
6. Make a date to get together after prom to share and swap those beautiful pictures!
