What do you do with those prom dresses you will never wear again? Donate them! Donate prom dresses to organizations that are set up to provide prom dresses and accessories to girls who otherwise wouldn't have them. Donate prom dresses projects have made it possible for girls all around the country to wear a new, at least new to them, prom dress when they can't afford to buy their own. Anytime you donate prom dresses to a non-profit organization you can use it as a tax deduction but even better you are putting a smile on a girls face and allowing her to enjoy a very special night.

One such program is called the Princess Project in the San Francisco area. When you donate prom dresses to this 100% volunteer effort you can help girls feel pretty, confident and important. When you donate prom dresses and the accessories that go with them you join a vast group of people dedicated to making girls dreams come true. Many businesses donate prom dresses that are brand new. The girls are given the dresses free at a fun-filled event in the spring. To find out more about this project or to start one in your area go to princess project or cinderella affair another project started in 2003 in Arizona.

•  Senior prom dresses should express your personal style. Don't try something so different that you end up being uncomfortable all night.

•  If you don't find your size and you just love the senior prom dresses you are finding don't forget to ask if they can order in or if another store in a neighboring city has your size.

•  Allow enough time to visit every store because sometimes the last store has the one you want!

Vintage prom dresses are so popular now that you would think they have already been grabbed up. Not so! People are always recycling things from their closets so the pickings are always good. Vintage prom dresses can range from the insanely expensive (think vintage Coco Chanel) or to the very inexpensive (think teal bridesmaid dress). Vintage prom dresses have a style that is all their own and you will want to make sure you find one that matches yours.

Some things to look for when shopping for vintage prom dresses:

•  If it comes from a thrift store ask if they have had it dry cleaned. Some do and some don't and why pay for it again if it is still clean.

•  If your vintage prom dress hasn't been cleaned, and even if it has, look for stains that were missed or couldn't be removed. If a shawl or corsage will cover it and you are fine with that ask for a discount.

•  Some smells will never come out of fabrics so if your vintage prom dress smells of cigarettes or cologne or worse consider the fact that it will always smell like that.

•  Check all the seams and hems for loose threads etc.

•  If small repairs or alterations need to be made allow yourself plenty of time.

•  Vintage prom dresses can be found at yard sales, thrift stores, your mom or grandma's closet etc.

•  Look for vintage brooches, bags and shoes while you are at it. They will look great with vintage prom dresses.

•  Don't be afraid to mix modern accessories with vintage prom dresses. That is one of the coolest looks around.

Sexy Prom Dresses

A sexy prom starts with a sexy prom dress. Sexy prom dresses are very in right now. A sexy prom dress isn’t just a dress that shows a lot of skin. A true sexy prom dress will show off your figure and flatter your good traits without letting everyone get glimpses of what should remain private. Sexy prom dresses have begun to be greatly influenced by the red carpet run ways of Hollywood. The use of body glue to keep dresses in place shows just how far off you can go with sexy prom dresses. The old adage that less is more really still has a place in high school and college prom dresses.

A sexy prom dress style will be determined by the season. If you are attending a winter ball then you will want sexy prom dress choices that will keep your warmer or be sure to accessorize with a cape or fur wrap. Sexy prom dresses can be found in your local dress shops and all over the Internet. You can also find many specialty catalogs with many sexy prom dresses to choose from.

So you've found the perfect prom dress, but it's fitting a little snugger than you would like. First, realize that we have all been there. Second, understand that losing a little bit of weight is not as difficult as you may be thinking.

Begin with watching your diet. Don't indulge in foods that are high in fats and beyond the limits of carbs. Stick to fruits, veggies, and meats that are high in protein. These foods will be your body's best friend. In most cases you will see results in your diet change alone.

Along with a healthy diet should follow an active lifestyle. The best way is walking. By taking a brisk walk for one hour every day will not only shape you, get your blood flowing, but get your heart pumping. Resulting will be a more energetic you with a healthy glow. Another option is yoga. If you do choose something like yoga, make sure you do the stretches properly to avoid overdoing it and/or pulling muscles.

Remember all you need is determination and a great dress! Enjoy your prom and your new lifestyle!
1. Take a moment and think before you speak.

2. Be patient and resist a reaction of "bad behavior."

3. It's all about respect.

4. Be aware that your reactions and manners cause either a good or bad response no matter what.

5. How you present yourself is how people perceive you.

6. By carefully planning and remaining calm, you are sure to have a great time and be enjoyed by your company.

7. Remember to make others feel comfortable.

8. Have fun, but always remain considerate of others.

This year vintage has made a come back like never before! You will see that some of this year's hottest dresses are all dolled up with beads and lace. It's that classic vintage beauty with a whole lot of flair. Take for instance this top seller, our Jovani prom dress 10466. The bodice is adorned in beautiful lace, but the high slit in the front and vivid color selection make this one spicy number.

One of my personal favorite duos is the Gold Cocktail dress by Jovani and Jovani 10681250. One of these knee-length cuties is sure to charm the pants off of your date (and everyone else's). They both include lace shirts, but each has its own signature bust. Believe me when I say you'll look like a million bucks.

If laces is not your style, then how about beads? Check out this darling flapper girl inspired dress Terani prom dress 45144 . Layers of beads will look great moving on the dance floor, and they will even add a little excitement to your walk. If you want demure, sweet, flirty, or fun; you can find everything you're looking for in a classical designed vintage inspired dress.
Okay, so I've been surfing through some prom forums lately, and I've found a ton of posts regarding HAIR. What to do with your do? Let's begin.

Look at a lot of the models featured on our site and you will notice that long and down are the way they have chosen to lay their locks. In the world of modeling hair is so important in creating a desired look. Choose the correct size roller for your hair. Use a large roller if you have long hair and want loose curls and small rollers if you have short hair or if you just want tighter curls. Starting from the bottom up roll your hair in small to medium sized chunks. Let the rollers sit for about 10 minutes or longer to set the curls. Unroll hair and finger comb hair (brush if only waves are desired). Now use hairspray generously. Gather hair into a barrette(s) or clip if you wish to keep the hair out of your eyes. Last, apply glitter, jewels, or hair appliqués if desired. Ringlets for someone with short hair will also be super cute.

Here's something especially for you medium haired girls. You might want to choose an up do with a couple of loose chunks of hair hanging in the very front. These loose strands will frame your face perfectly. Keep the hair straight or just loosely curled at the ends.

Be sure to grab some hair magazines or just browse the web for picture references. Also if you plan to do your own hair (or if a friend or parent plans to do it for you); be sure to practice at least a few days ahead of time. If the styles poses too difficult or maybe it just doesn't look quite as you imagined on yourself; at least you have time to pick a different style. If you pick a do that has a bunch of strategically placed tight curls and requires a lot of pinning; I recommend leaving that to a professional. You'll need to make your appointment WAY ahead of time though.

Don't forget that a simple style can be elegant, romantic, and mysterious (as proven on our website). Try not to go overboard with curls and accessories to avoid looking corny.
