Avril Lavigne Debuts New Video for "What the Hell"

It's been awhile since we've heard too much from Avril Lavigne: The young singer dropped off the grid for awhile after releasing her most recent album in 2007. And it's no surprise: in 2006, she got married at just 22; last year, she and then-husband  Deryck Whibley (of the band Sum 41) filed for divorce.  Presumably, she had a pretty busy couple of years.

But she also has plenty to write about -- and in March, Lavigne is out with a new album, "Goodbye Lullaby."

Lavigne released Lullaby's first single, "What the Hell" earlier this month. She recently described the song as "more pop rock and it's a lighter subject and it's a fun kinda summer party song."

"It's kinda like my older stuff so I haven't had any music out in like four years I think we thought it was a good way to bridge into the new stuff," Lavigne said.
