This week, MTV debuted the first episode of its new scripted drama, "Skins," the American adaptation of a UK hit about the gritty reality of how modern teenagers really live. (Theoretically, anyway.)
The show was a huge hit in London -- but it's also incredibly racy, and it looks like MTV has already had trouble balancing the line between catering to U.S.-based advertisers (aka, not getting so scandalous that companies wouldn't want to be associated it) and, um, actual teenagers -- not to mention UK "Skins" loyalists -- who don't want to see a watered-down version of the real thing.
Did you guys watch the first episode? What do you think?
