Last night in Santa Montica, stars got to show a little more personality than usual at the annual Independent Spirit Awards, which is basically an indies-only version of the Oscars.
The dress fare at the Spirit Awards is slightly more casual -- ahem, "independent" -- than the Academy Awards (appropriately) and the celebs took advantage of the dress code to show flash their free spirits.

We've told you about country music star Miranda Lambert's proclivity for wearing Sherri Hill at the most exciting, high-profile events -- like, say, the Grammy Awards? -- but now, she's brought Sherri Hill to an even more special place: the Country Music Hall of Fame!
Sherri Hill broke out not one but four gorgeous Sherri Hill gowns at the annual Country Music Awards earlier this year -- and she took home four awards!
Now, one of the gowns is sitting pretty in the Country Music Hall of Fame, in Nashville, Tennessee (see the custom Sherri Hill gown on left), along with Miranda's manuscripts!
We're so happy for Miranda's incredible success -- and so honored she chooses to wear Sherri Hill at such special times in her life!
Thought it would be hard for Lady Gaga to top her infamous "meat dress"? We did -- but apparently the pop icon has endless methods for making a splash.
At tonight's Grammy Awards, for which she's nominated for six awards, Lady Gaga opted not to walk the red carpet. Instead, she was carried in... in an egg.

Tonight could be a big night for the Biebs: He's nominated for two awards at tonight's Grammy Awards -- including Best New Artist -- and he's also planned a star-studded performance for the show, featuring Usher and Jaden Smith. (Son of Will and Jada Pinkett.)
But even if he doesn't walk away with the evening's top prize, the 16-year-old pop star has already got some major bragging rights under his belt for the weekend: His movie, "Never Say Never," made more than $30 million dollars at the box office.

Okay, so maybe we are not the most avid sports fans over here at Tiza -- well not all of us, anyway -- but this year's Super Bowl was still pretty exciting. We also, obviously, were watching out for $3 million-worthy advertisements. There weren't a ton, but our favorite so far was Volksawagen's "Tiny Darth Vader" gag. (Babies and small children seemed to be a theme among the ads tonight.)

You may know Justin Bieber more for his floppy-haired charm and bubble-gum pop than for his acting chops, but the teen heartthrob made a couple surprise appearances on Saturday Night Live last night -- and he was pretty convincing as a naive college freshman. (More hilarious was Andy Samberg as his psychopathic, hair-envious roommate.) Regardless, it definitely appears to be an improvement over the actual forthcoming movie starring Leighton Meester.
