We've already discussed the glory that was Kate Middleton's wedding dress -- simple, classic, elegant, etc. -- but what did you think of Pippa Middleton's Maid of Honor dress?
In America, wearing white is usually strictly reserved for the bride -- but I thought the contrast of the sisters' dresses was more than enough to make up for the fact that they were the same color. In fact, I kind of liked the monochromatic look.
What did you guys think? Did you like Pippa's Alice Temperley dress? I actually think my favorite part was dress's backside -- the buttons down the back, and the striking, but ever-modest, silhouette.
See more pictures after the jump! And let us know what you think in the comments.
Did you guys get up at 5am to watch the royal wedding? We did! After all, how could we miss an opportunity to check out a slew of beautiful gowns?
And there were so many of them! But first, let's focus on the morning's main event: Kate Middleton's stunning wedding gown. The dress, designed by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton, is reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress, but with a few modern (and Kate-inspired) touches. Middleton, apparently a big fan of the V-neck, chose a low-dipping, delicate lace overlay atop the white gown -- the train of which, notably, was about 15 feet shorter than Princess Diana's was at her marriage. (Then again, Princess Diana was only 20 at the time of her marriage; who can blame her for wanting a long train??)
Kate also wore a tiara borrowed from the Queen! Pretty much as regal as a girl can get. Check out a full-length shot after the jump!
Hey guys! We know some of you are still procrastinating on getting your prom dresses for this spring -- which, by the way, get moving!! -- but Sherri Hill is offering a sneak peek of some of their Fall 2011 designs.
She's mostly a Nashville-based girl, but country start Taylor Swift was spending so much time in Los Angeles that she decided she wanted to put down some roots there, too.
Check out some pictures of her (alleged) house after the jump!
It basically looks like a triptych of stories -- think "Valentine's Day" or "He's just not that into you" -- that (obviously) all have to do with a group of kids preparing for their high school prom. (You can watch the trailer here.)
Naturally, because this is a movie about the prom, the stars turned out in their most glam dresses for the premiere last night.
Check out some of our favorite looks after the jump!
Apparently Kurt is not the only one who likes the Dalton "Warblers" on Glee: the fictional a capella group is making the morning (and afternoon) show rounds -- and doing some live performances to boot.
Apparently, there's a reason for the publicity tour -- the Warblers are putting out an album! (Frankly, we think the album's name -- "Glee: the Music Presents the Warblers" -- lacks a little something, but oh well.)
Watch the young Warblers jam out on the Ellen show below. Are you excited for their upcoming prom episode?
If you are a) a Glee fan or b) an Adele fan, or more likely c) all of the above, you will love this cover of Adele's "Someone Like You," by Glee castmember Amber Riley.
Riley, who plays Glee's Mercedes Jones, posted the video to her YouTube channel -- but added a qualifier with via her Twitter account:
"I don't care who sings it, NO ONE can sing an Adele song like ADELE, she is perfect :) but I'm glad you guys liked my version too...."
Amber, apparently, is not the Glee cast's only Adele fan: Gwyneth Paltrow, a recurring guest star on the show, will be featured on the April 19th episode of the show.
Want to make sure you get great prom pictures on the big night? Make sure you arrange for a photographer (by which we mean, someone's parent!) before the big night.
But whatever you do, don't ask the limo driver to do it. Why not? Just ask the North Carolina teens who saw their limousine drive off into the sunset -- without them! -- when the limo driver got out to snap photos of the group.
Apparently, the kids asked the driver if he'd take a few pictures, so he stepped out of the town car and left his keys in the ignition. But before he was done capturing the moment, someone else had captured something else -- the car itself. The thief apparently showed off his new wheels to friends before abandoning it in a parking lot.
The limo was later found, and all the kids' possessions were recovered, but nevertheless: a word to the wise!
Lady Gaga's latest single, "Judas," has been leaked -- and rest assured it's controversial as ever! Invoking religious themes and imagery, Gaga has already managed to get some powerful people very angry.
But Gaga and her team insist that they're not trying to make anyone mad. Laurieann Gibson, the singer's creative director, told the Hollywood Reporter that in making the song and the video, they specifically set out to avoid major offense.
"It went through several changes and late-night debates because at one
point, there were two completely different "views and I was like,
'Listen, I don't want lightning to strike me! I believe in the gospel
and I'm not going there,'" Gibson said.
What do you think? Listen to the single below and let us know in the comments!
Miss USA Rima Fakih always looks amazing. But the young beauty queen looks particularly gorgeous in the photo at left for two reasons: She's dressed up for a great cause, and she's wearing Sherri Hill. (Two things we think should go hand in hand as much as possible.)
Rima wore the hot pink Sherri Hill dress to the 2011 Breast Cancer Foundation's "Hot Pink Party" in New York City this week!
The National Breast Cancer Foundation does a lot of really amazing and necessary work. You should check it out right here!
And thanks to Rima for rocking another Sherri Hill gown for a good cause!
As you may know by this point, we are huge fans of Vanna White's.
The "Wheel of Fortune" veteran always looks incredible -- and never more so than when she's rocking a Sherri Hill dress! (Which is pretty often at this point.)
Here she is, wearing Sherri Hill style number 7413.
Check out the style for yourself right here if you're interested in wearing it for prom -- or another special occasion!

And a night that will likely live on for a long, long time -- in pictures, if not in memories.
We've compiled a few of our favorite ever celebrity prom pictures -- starting right here, with the Mrs. Michelle Obama herself. (And let's all just agree that she looks amazing. And sort of royal?)
Check out Britney, Courtney, and more right after the jump -- and learn for yourself the importance of getting your look for the night just right!
Okay, so maybe it's a stretch to say she's actually...working out in her Sherri Hill -- but Rima Fakih, the gorgeous Miss USA 2010, is definitely working it!
Why, you ask, is she on a treadmill? The young beauty queen is prepping for the USA program WWE Tough Enough. I'm not sure how tough she looks (although the knee-high boots do add a superhero element to the outfit) but Rima definitely looks awesome.
Want to look just like Rima on prom night? Check out the dress right here!!
Dani Shay is a young woman and aspiring singer-songwriter. And, it turns out, she happens to look exactly like 17-year-old pop star Justin Bieber. And incredibly, Dani didn't actually even know who the Biebs was until people kept stopping her on the street to tell her she looked like him.
But it hasn't been all love songs and tween fans for Dani -- as she said in a recent YouTube video, once Bieber got big, she started having something of an identity crisis.
"Suddenly I'm being recognized not as myself," Dani said in the YouTube video, "Dani Shay: About Me & Justin Bieber." "I'm getting all these looks and this attention for this person and I have no idea who he is. I didn't know for the first four or five months. Everywhere I go, little girls and even grown men are like, 'You look like that singer Justin Bieber, you've never heard of him?' "
Still, Shay says she wouldn't mind meeting her lookalike: "I have a little fantasy of meeting him on the first time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I think that would be amazing," she explained. "First of all, I think that she would be tripping out looking at the both of us and she can just make it hilarious. And then I also have a desire to share my music with her. I feel like I have always had a connection with her and now she is a music guru."
Check out Dani's parody of Bieber's "Baby" below. What do you think? Can she rival her doppelganger?
This Sunday, the stars came out to Las Vegas to celebrate the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, where the biggest names in the industry took home all sorts of awards.
The night's big winner was the lovely Taylor Swift (at left), who was named "Entertainer of the Year." And we love her gorgeous gold gown! It's sophisticated, playful, and just the right degree of glam.
Check out some of our favorite looks from the event -- and find out who took home which honors -- after the jump!
Willow Smith may only be ten years old, but she has an insane amount of attitude. (In a good way.)
So it's only moderately surprising that the pint-sized pop star would perform in the air during the 2011 Kid's Choice Awards.
That's right, she came flying into the room on some sort of elaborate contraption (see left) that Madonna probably didn't test out til, I don't know, her mid-twenties?
Check out Willow's performance in the video below. Do you love her moves as much as we do?
Just kidding! Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner look equally stunning in Sherri Hill style # 1403. Thinking it might be a good prom choice? Check it out for yourself right here!
And take a look at the two gorgeous girls rocking the dress below.
Shanola Hampton is one of the stars of Showtime's new show, "Shameless," which tells the story of an impoverished family living in Chicago's south side. The show, which just got picked up for a second season, has gotten great reviews so far. (Congrats to the cast!)
This week, Hampton stepped out to the premiere of Jake Gyllenhaal's new thriller, "Source Code."
In order to get the perfect dress for the event, Hampton stopped by Sherri Hill's New York City showroom, where she settled on Sherri Hill style #3705.
Check out Shanola looking gorgeous in her Sherri Hill at the New York premiere for "Source Code," at left.
Can't wait to see the stunning actress in another Sherri Hill dress soon!
In the meantime, in the event that you're looking for a fun, sassy, short prom dress to wear at the upcoming dance? Check out the dress for yourself right here.
Elton John was the host on last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, but a few other pretty major celebs made cameos as well: Tom Hanks was featured in the operatic digital short version of "Laser Cats" (which, btw, is definitely worth watching) and then Jake Gyllenhaal popped up for a Weekend Update sketch featuring Andy Samberg playing Nicolas Cage.
Samberg's Cage is pretty spot on. So are his hair plugs. I was also impressed with the fact that Gyllenhaal managed to keep a straight face despite the fact that Seth Meyers seemed to be visibly cracking up over on his side of the desk.
Watch the clip above. Now, the question is... will you see Source Code?
Last week, we made the case that an 18-year-old Illinois high school woman -- or anyone, for that matter -- should be able to wear a tuxedo to the prom if she wanted to. The case that prompted the discussion was that of Proviso East High School senior Belinda Sanchez, an openly gay high school senior whose high school administrator told her she couldn't wear a tux to the prom.
Well, some happy news! Sanchez, an aspiring civil rights lawyer, brought the case to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and won! She can now wear what sounds like a pretty slick white tuxedo to the dance. Here's to hoping that in the future, all high schools will put aside their old-fashioned notions of sartorial gender norms, and encourage students to express themselves however they like.
In the meantime, Sanchez is just happy to have won out.
"I'm happy," she told the Chicago Tribune. "I didn't just stand up for myself. I did this for everyone who's in a position like I'm in."
"It's like a fairy tale gone totally fairy," she joked, laughin.
