The Scoop on Alyssa Campanella's Sherri Hill Miss USA Dress!

Did you love Alyssa Campanella's emerald green Miss USA evening gown? We hope so! It was exclusively designed by Sherri Hill for the occasion. And in a recent interview with InStyle, Hill broke down what made the gown so special: 

 

 "Alyssa broke all 'pageant rules' by wearing an unusual high fashion design," Hill told InStyle.com, "and choosing emerald green for competition rather than a more traditional pageant color." 

The  bodice of the dress, (all of which was custom-made), was crafted with French beads, sequins and Swarovski crystals on tulle, while the skirt was made with silk taffeta and horsehair, which gave it a stronger, more architectural shape.
