October 2011 Archives Friday night, some of Hollywood's biggest stars got all decked out in their spookiest finery to attend Kate Hudson's annual Halloween party. There were some pretty excellent costumes, be them princessy or, well, downright scary. Check out some of our favorites after the jump.

In a new video by Funny or Die, Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka -- obviously an insanely precocious and talented young lady -- takes on the role of child psychologist to the (child) stars. Let's just say Topanga makes a cameo. Watch it!
Turns out Michelle Obama is just as Democratic -- by which we mean, connected to the masses! -- as we'd hoped. The first lady jumped on the Twitter bandwagon this week, posting her first tweet in support of America's military families.
"So this is how ya tweet, huh?" she mused. "So now i just press tweet?"

 "Paranormal Activity 3" came out this weekend, and apparently Americans aren't afraid of a little creepiness -- the film grossed a record-setting $54 million, and breaking its own record from last year. According to an account by the Associated Press, the film is framed as a prequel to the previous two Paranormal installments -- and it's helmed by the same directors responsible for "Catfish," a strange, unexpected, and thoroughly eerie documentary. (Any more info would be a spoiler.) So, are you psyched to scream your head off at the latest Paranormal flick? (It is, after all, Halloween season.) Or will you skip it and opt for something cozy -- and a little bit less howl-inducing -- at instead?
 With the recent release of the latest Muppet movie, Miss Piggy is, well, making a comeback. The fashionable -- if fictional -- swine of lore has been popping up all over the pages of fashion magazines in recent weeks. Now, MAC cosmetics has given her her own "Miss Piggy for MAC" line. We think she'd be pretty happy about this latest development. Find out more about the line here. Are you sold?

 Yes, that is a new Beyonce video, and yes she is wearing a leotard and a captain's hat -- which is followed, later, by a pretty impressive slacks suit. The dancing, needless to say, is both a little bit 90s and very amazing. The song is great too!
Does this require any further introduction? Watch it!  Check out this sneak peek video clip of the "My Life My Power" ad, which will be airing officially next week. The video stars Tyler Posey, Renee Olstead, Stella Hudgens and Booboo Stewart (plus a bunch more great young people) and aims to get young people to stand up against bullying. The PSA was produced by the documentary filmmaker Mark Harris (also an Oscar winner) and directed by Dan Harris -- and it's shot in 3D, which is pretty incredible. Watch the video below!  There was a decided lack of scariness at Spike TV's annual Scream Awards on Saturday -- the stars turned out looking very dignified and demure, if you ask us. At left, Anne Hathaway wears a very lovely beaded dress to accept her award for "Most Anticipated Movie" -- The Dark Knight Rises, of course -- alongside co-stars Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Chloe Moretz, meanwhile, wore a similarly sophisticated frock (below) while taking home the trophy for "Best Horror Actress" thanks to her haunting performance as a pre-teen vampire in "Let Me In." Congrats to all for their screaming successes. (Sorry, it was impossible to resist.) Who wore your favorite outfit of the night?   Lily Collins, Fergie, Stevie Nicks and Jessica Alba were just a few big-name celebs who turned out for the Clinton Foundation gala ("A Decade of Difference") celebrating Bill Clinton's 65th birthday and the foundation's tenth anniversary this weekend. And props to the former president for hiring Stevie Nicks as his birthday party entertainment. It's a great cause -- and looked like a pretty fun party, to boot. Happy birthday to Mr. Clinton!  You guys like Super Bass by Nicki Minaj right? Because, who doesn't?! There are few things more satisfying to watch than rapper/singer/performance artist Nicki Minaj singing that endlessly loopable jam. One of them is watching BABIES perform it. Must-watch video below. Seriously! This toddler has a promising future of sassy rapping ahead of her!   Okay, so maybe it's the least breaking news of all time, but it appears that Kristen Stewart has finally owned up to her years-long relationship with Robert Pattinson. Well, sort of. Apparently, during the cover shoot for British GQ, the 21-year-old actress said she was hoping to explore England while shooting an upcoming movie because "my boyfriend is English."
Asked about the comment during the interview the next day, Stewart replied, "I never would have said that if I knew you were interviewing me." Nevertheless, the cat is now semi-officially out of the bag. Not that fans of the young actress have likely thought differently in ages. Of the fact that her relationship was hardly a secret she said, "Yeah, I know it is." "It's just one of those things. I'm selfish. I'm like, 'That's mine!' And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way," she said, of her reason to stay mum about the relationship. "It's a funny little game to play and it's a slippery slope. I always say to myself I'm never going to give anything away because there's never any point or benefit for me." Watch the video below! "Mike and Molly" star Melissa McCarthy hosted Saturday Night Live last night -- and she was great! We particularly loved the monologue, in which McCarthy and fellow "Bridesmaids" star Kristen Wiig broke it down on the dance floor. Well, kind of. Watch the clip below: Did you watch the show?
