At the Scream awards, the stars played it safe - and sound

Screen shot 2011-10-16 at 7.31.18 PM.pngThere was a decided lack of scariness at Spike TV's annual Scream Awards on Saturday -- the stars turned out looking very dignified and demure, if you ask us. 

At left, Anne Hathaway wears a very lovely beaded dress to accept her award for "Most Anticipated Movie" -- The Dark Knight Rises, of course -- alongside co-stars Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Chloe Moretz, meanwhile, wore a similarly sophisticated frock (below) while taking home the trophy for "Best Horror Actress" thanks to her haunting performance as a pre-teen vampire in "Let Me In." 

Congrats to all for their screaming successes. (Sorry, it was impossible to resist.)  Who wore your favorite outfit of the night?
