Prom Hair That Will Make Them Stare

|
Okay, so I've been surfing through some prom forums lately, and I've found a ton of posts regarding HAIR. What to do with your do? Let's begin.

Look at a lot of the models featured on our site and you will notice that long and down are the way they have chosen to lay their locks. In the world of modeling hair is so important in creating a desired look. Choose the correct size roller for your hair. Use a large roller if you have long hair and want loose curls and small rollers if you have short hair or if you just want tighter curls. Starting from the bottom up roll your hair in small to medium sized chunks. Let the rollers sit for about 10 minutes or longer to set the curls. Unroll hair and finger comb hair (brush if only waves are desired). Now use hairspray generously. Gather hair into a barrette(s) or clip if you wish to keep the hair out of your eyes. Last, apply glitter, jewels, or hair appliqués if desired. Ringlets for someone with short hair will also be super cute.

Here's something especially for you medium haired girls. You might want to choose an up do with a couple of loose chunks of hair hanging in the very front. These loose strands will frame your face perfectly. Keep the hair straight or just loosely curled at the ends.

Be sure to grab some hair magazines or just browse the web for picture references. Also if you plan to do your own hair (or if a friend or parent plans to do it for you); be sure to practice at least a few days ahead of time. If the styles poses too difficult or maybe it just doesn't look quite as you imagined on yourself; at least you have time to pick a different style. If you pick a do that has a bunch of strategically placed tight curls and requires a lot of pinning; I recommend leaving that to a professional. You'll need to make your appointment WAY ahead of time though.

Don't forget that a simple style can be elegant, romantic, and mysterious (as proven on our website). Try not to go overboard with curls and accessories to avoid looking corny.
