Have you seen the latest Harry Potter movie yet? If not, it looks like you might be the only one... According to USA Today, the eighth and final film in the enormously-popular franchise shattered weekend movie-going records this week, raking in $168.2 million in the first few days alone. The record beats "The Dark Knight," which featured Heath Ledger's Oscar-winning performance as the Joker -- released after his death -- in the latest Batman movie. And this is just the beginning; the Potter movie will likely earn hundreds of millions more in the weeks and months to come.
Tim Briody, of boxoficeprophets.com, told USA Today the release of HP7 (part 2) was, in his opinion, "the biggest film event in many, many years."
"It's truly hard to guess where this will add up," he added.
For those of you who have seen the movie -- what did you think?
