Recently in Music Category Is everyone excited for tonight's MTV Video Music Awards? We know we are -- and we're particularly excited to see which starlets will be decked out in their best Sherri Hill dresses. (Oh, and also, the winners.) There should be some great acts at tonight's show -- including a joint performance by Kanye West and Jay-Z, who just released "Watch the Throne" together.

Amy Winehouse, the troubled -- but enormously talented -- singer-songwriter, was found dead in her London apartment on Saturday, according to reports. She was 27. The artist, who has long struggled with drugs and alcohol problems, was released from a rehabilitation center less than two months ago. The cause of her death is currently listed as "unexplained," according to CNN. Whatever the cause of her untimely death, Winehouse will be sorely missed as an artist and performer. Beyonce closed out the festival with an eclectic mix -- her lineup included covers by Lady Gaga, Prince, the Kings of Leon, Alanis Morissette, as well as, obviously, her own new album.  We've been excited about Amy Winehouse's upcoming album for awhile now. Awhile meaning, like, three years. The British soul singer made a huge splash with her first album, Back to Black, but hasn't come out with a new record since that first record-breaking release. Now that she's going back to rehab, it looks like another delay for the follow-up record.
Here's hoping to a swift recovery for the immensely talented young singer. Obviously now is the time to check out Beyonce's new video, if you haven't already...  The 2011 Billboard Music Awards are happening tonight, and apparently they pulled out all the stops this year -- because what initially appeared to be a Ri solo performance ended up featuring a drop-in by Ms. Spears. The two pop superstars even wore matching duds! How cute. (If you can call their outfits "cute"?) Check out the performance below. What do you think? Did they kill it?  This was a BIG week on American idol. In dramatic top three round, Lauren Alaina, Scot McCreery, and Hailey Reinhart battled it out to stay in the game -- and make it to the final round. So we're proud to say that Lauren Alaina, one of our favorites from the beginning, made the cut! And guess what? She's wearing Sherri Hill in her top 3 performance. And she looks -- and sounds -- amazing. Watch Lauren belt out Leann Womack's "I hope you dance" her her gorgeous Sherri Hill gown (at left) in the video below. Apparently Kurt is not the only one who likes the Dalton "Warblers" on Glee: the fictional a capella group is making the morning (and afternoon) show rounds -- and doing some live performances to boot.
Apparently, there's a reason for the publicity tour -- the Warblers are putting out an album! (Frankly, we think the album's name -- "Glee: the Music Presents the Warblers" -- lacks a little something, but oh well.) Watch the young Warblers jam out on the Ellen show below. If you are a) a Glee fan or b) an Adele fan, or more likely c) all of the above, you will love this cover of Adele's "Someone Like You," by Glee castmember Amber Riley. Riley, who plays Glee's Mercedes Jones, posted the video to her YouTube channel -- but added a qualifier with via her Twitter account: Amber, apparently, is not the Glee cast's only Adele fan: Gwyneth Paltrow, a recurring guest star on the show, will be featured on the April 19th episode of the show.
